Best-of-the-Best Award

The industry’s ‘Oscars’.
An open, online vote for the best in gastronomy, trade and production.

The best of the best awards are presented on the main stage at CHEF-SACHE. The vote is a ‘Port Culinaire’ initiative. The best in gastronomy and trade were honoured with the ‘Best of the Best Award’.
The awards at CHEF-SACHE are something special: They are chosen by the industry as a whole.

This year, due to the Corona pandemic, there will be a new category: Best Shutdown Strategy 2021

Best-of-the-Best Awards Ceremony 2021

Abstimmungs-Prozess

Stage 1 – Nominate

Every person from the gastronomy and food industry has the opportunity to propose 10 candidates of their choice in descending order in the various categories online. In category C, only employees from gastronomic businesses may vote.

The voting tool for the online election can be found at https://www.port-culinaire.de/awards

Nomination deadline: 15th of August

2. Stage – Voting

Port Culinaire and CHEF-SACHE will evaluate all entries and publish the top 10 candidates in each category alphabetically. These will be on the voting platform (on social media and the CHEF-SACHE and Port Culinaire website) from 18 August 2021. From the top 10 list, you will vote for the No. 1. The provisional ranking list will remain a secret of Port Culinaire and CHEF-SACHE for the time being.

Voting deadline: September 26th

Stage 3 – Awards Ceremony

All nominees in the individual categories will be invited to the Awards Ceremony at CHEF-SACHE in Düsseldorf on 3 October 2021. Only then will the nominees find out who among them will receive the “Best-of-the-Best 2021” award and be honoured. All nominees can feel like winners, as they have achieved a lot and received a lot of encouragement for their work. But in the end, there can only be one winner.

Award ceremony: October 03. 2021
